In the UK it was customary to name architectural styles after a reigning monarch – hence the classification ‘Victorian’ and ‘Edwardian’ conservatories.
Edwardian conservatories tend to be less ornate than Victorian styles. They are quite often square or rectangular in shape which, if you are looking to extend your home and achieve additional useful space, is a good option.
