A farmhouse kitchen fit for a top chef

We designed and built a fantastic new fitted kitchen for a couple who lived in a beautiful old farmhouse. They were both very enthusiastic cooks and wanted to create a space to work and entertain in. The room was very large so there was plenty of space to play with but it was important to make the best use of that space in order to deliver on our client’s requirement.
We discussed the project in depth to understand their specific wants and needs and to take account of their budget. For example, they wanted to incorporate five different types of oven in the kitchen including a microwave, electric oven and a Rayburn. They also wanted a space for their large dining table and an informal area where they could simply sit and relax over a coffee.
Space to move
With the kitchen area being so large we recommended installing an island unit as it would help to create a far more convenient working area, allowing the cook to reach equipment and utensils quickly and easily. A sink was installed for preparing vegetables in the island unit which they were delighted with.
Incorporating latest technology
A neat popup electric socket was incorporated for plugging in appliances such as whisks or blenders. The panel disappears back down into the unit when not in use leaving a clear, tidy surface. A Quooker tap was installed for instant boiling water as well as a number of other super convenient devices. Finally we built a neat breakfast bar – a useful place to sit and have a snack or a drink.
Bespoke to your requirements
All of our kitchens are bespoke so you are free to choose where and how you want things to be and we can design and build each unit to fit perfectly. As a result, in this project the quirky angles of the beautiful old farmhouse were no problem for us to build around. The end result was a delightful room with a balanced and harmonious use of space. The design, layout and style of the kitchen area met each and every one of our client’s requirements and they were absolutely delighted.
